Chef Shelby’s passion for cooking began at just four years old, watching a TV show prepare roasted Cornish game hens with tarragon and lemon. Shelby promptly wrote her mother a grocery list and began teaching her mother the technique of stuffing the tarragon between the skin and meat.
Shelby graduated from culinary school in 2015, passing her America Culinary Federations Exams the same year. She specialized in traditional Italian cuisine, working closely under Chef Lidia Bastianich in the Batali & Bastianich brands. Shelby implemented her skills within the world of fine dining, working at Eddie V’s as a Chef and travel trainer. Shelby has over 10 years of combined professional culinary experience.
In 2018, Shelby was featured on an episode of Guy’s Grocery Games. Shelby’s love of food and teaching came together to create The Cooking Studio.
